Mandurah Food, Drink & Shopping

We're locals who've grown up in Mandurah and we've seen it grow from a seaside holiday town to a thriving tourism destination which we are so lucky to call our home.

C Mandurah apartment resort is in walking distance to everything that is awesome in Mandurah City. We're literally a five minute walk, ride, scoot or drive across the Mandurah bridge where everything is on your doorstep.

You can't beat a brekky at Cafe Mokka in Dolphin Quay, Mandurah Marina or Todds Cafe on the coast opposite Doddi's Beach in old Halls Head (they are also in town on the water near Cicerellos as well).

Check out Groundswell Cafe (with drive through as well). It is a trendy cafe which was built around their freshly smoked coffee beans and now wood fired chocolate. AMAZING. A 15 minute drive to Pinjarra is well worthwhile were you can experience Jarrah Infusion. Pinjarra is a rural town east of Manduah in the Peel region with an artistic, rustic flare with cool antique shops, lovely boutiques and cafes. It is just gorgeous. The new waterside cafe, Lemon & Lime, in South Yunderup is worth a visit. They have some pizza and other theme nights as well.

For lunch try any of the fabulous cafes and restaurants along Mandurah Terrace, opposite the Mandurah Eastern Foreshore or on the boardwalk in the Marina precincts. The Hummingbird do AMAZING takeaway salads, tarts and more and Wood & Stone Cafe now also do wood fired pizza for takeway and have the new CocoLoco Dessert & Smoothie Hut next door.

Dinner favourites are Silk Thai, Flics Kitchen and Brewvino. All three of them for different reasons but mostly atmosphere, service and delicious food and beverages.

Our favourite watering holes are Bar Therapy, Boundary Island Brewery, Thorny Devil Brewery in Herron near the Thrombolites and of course you cannot miss out on a meal or drink with friends and family on the banks of the Ravenswood River at the Ravenswood Hotel. There was also a fabulous boutique brewery called Three Rivers Brewing which has just relocated and soon to launch their new brand and location.

If you're looking to purchase your own food why not drop into Gilberts Fresh on your way into town or next door is a shopping village with the Bridge IGA. They have a little deli as well.

Want to pick or buy some delciously fresh fruit and vegetables then head up to Dwellingup and experience Caraholly or Vergones Orchards. They both have cafes, markets and other great events on their magnificent properties. Think open road, green pastures and fresh air plus Dwellingup has the famous Lane Poole Reserve/ National Park nature camping, picnic areas and waterholes, hiking and bike trails. The micro town is an award winning must visit destination in the hills of the Peel region.

We are so spoilt for choice with local bakeries including Pinjarra Bakery (and Groundswell also sell their pies), Miami Bakehouse (also sells out of Gilberts Fresh, Falcon/Miami Village and two other locations north and south of Mandurah) and Jaks Bakery, all national pie making award winners. There is a new boutique bakery next to local artist Tahnee Kellands swing and rainbow bricks in Barracks Lane call Baked 6210 and you cannot miss a freshly baked donut from Sugarlips Donut Co and coffee van at Silversands Beach.

Fisho Mandurah is also located at the Karnup BP & Gilberts Fresh on your way into Mandurah for all your fresh and snap frozen seafood.

For the retail therapy we recommend DD's Fashion in Pinjarra, JakJak's Clothing & Interiors on Mandurah Terrace, Botanical H20, Frisky Deer and the new Mums Cottage Op Shop or HALO if you want to support local charities and the environment as well. There are many awesome shops along the Mandurah Foreshore and Marina precincts. You could easily spend a day browsing.

For the surfers, skaters, beach babes and paddlers....visit Star Surf & Skate on Mandurah Terrace!
